This is the information Judy Siver sent me on October 24, 2012, while she was gathering information on veterans for the class of
1962 - 50 year reunion.
In the Hackensack High School newspaper, “The Voice”, dated June 21, 1962, states that Louis DeCrosta joined the Navy.
Ancestry.com confirms this, and his entry into service right after graduation on July 30, 1962. Louis DeCrosta served in the Navy until July 30, 1965 and passed away in February 21, 1983, while living in Panama City, Florida.
I thought it worth noting since their last names are the same, but I do not know at the present time, November 10, 2012, the relationship, if any, between Louis DeCrosta and a World War I veteran,
Armando DeCrosta, who drowned in a lake in Pompton Lakes while stationed at a camp there. If we find information which explains their relationship, we will post it at that time.
